Product Description

“We’re a family owned company dedicated to making world class, handcrafted wines. We work with small growers, coopers and winemakers producing elegant, sophisticated, yet approachable wines from Napa Valley, Carneros, and the North Coast of California.” – Joseph Carr

Joseph Carr began his career as a sommelier and later transitioned to the more corporate world as an international wine executive. In 2005, he chose to follow his dream and founded the Joseph Carr Winery in Carneros, California, drawing support from a close network of growers who began to supply him with great fruit. While influenced by the wines of Bordeaux, Carr also had an acute sense of the California style. He set out to craft classic, well-balanced, approachable and food-friendly, and affordable wines. His father, known by his close friends as Josh, was Joseph’s inspiration for Josh Cellars.

Josh Cellars is a blend of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, sourced from organically grown and sustainably farmed vineyards in the Red Hills of Lake County, California. You will find an attractive bouquet of ripe black currant, and deep, dark fruits, accented by smoke and spice.

In the mouth, layers of silky red and black currant, are complemented by spicy berry notes, as well as red licorice, pomegranate, ripe plum, and gentle nuances of vanilla, cocoa, and smoky oak. This incredible California Cabernet is big, bold, smooth, and supple all at once. The tannins are soft and the satiny mouthfeel carries through the long, expressive finish.

Josh Cellars Cabernet is very approachable, and drinks well on its own, but also pairs wonderfully with foods such as grilled steak, spicy bbq chicken, veal parmigiana, and pasta marinara.
